Burton opens a Bank Holiday menswear sale, with an extra 15% off at the checkout

Burton's Bank Holiday Event advertises up to 75% off menswear with a further 15% off via code EXTRA15. Tailoring and Easy Iron shirts carry the deepest cuts.

Burton has started a Bank Holiday Event across its menswear range, with the banner on the Burton sale advertising up to 75% off and a further 15% off at the checkout using a code. The men's sale section is unusually large — the grid reports more than 8,000 lines — and covers suits, shirts, jeans, chinos, knitwear, outerwear and formalwear. No closing date is published on the sale page.

What's in the sale

The headline figure is not representative of the whole range. Across the opening pages of the grid the reductions run from 10% to 50%, and the deepest cuts cluster in tailoring and formalwear: tuxedo separates, waistcoats and the Essential suit line are where half-price stock sits. Newer-season linen jackets and textured suiting are held back at 10–20%. Easy Iron shirts are the most consistent value in the sale, several of them at half price.

How the discount works

The event is site-wide rather than clearance-only, and a separate banner runs a New Season promotion at up to 30% off. The sale page displays an extra 15% off applied with a code at the checkout, shown against every product tile as a second, lower price — the Light Blue Easy Iron Oxford shirt above, for instance, is listed at £11.90 once the code is applied, and the Mid Grey Essential Waistcoat at £17.00. Delivery is free on orders over £60; below that a charge applies, which matters when single shirts sit in the £12–£17 bracket.

Code: EXTRA15 — displayed on the sale page as an extra 15% off, applied at the checkout on top of the reduction already shown.

Worth it?

The tailoring is the reason to look. Half-price Essential suit jackets and waistcoats at £25–£30 after the code are genuinely cheap for a wedding-guest or interview outfit, and the tuxedo separates are the strongest value in the whole grid. The shirts are solid but Burton discounts Easy Iron styles regularly, so half price is closer to a routine level than an exceptional one. Be wary of the "up to 75%" framing — very little of the visible stock is anywhere near that, and the 10% reductions on linen and textured suiting are not worth rushing for. Sizes in the popular Essential fits tend to thin out first, so check availability before planning a full suit around a single jacket.
