DealsFirst
✦ MEMBER GUIDE ✦

How DealsFirst works

One free account powers the lot: your own deal feed, saved deals, alerts and the community. Here’s how to use each bit, in plain English. Everything on this page is free.

Join free

A free account is what turns DealsFirst from a big list of deals into your list: it unlocks My Feed, saved deals, alerts, watched searches and posting in the community. No card, no trial, nothing to cancel.

  1. Tap Join free in the header (on a phone it’s in the prompt at the bottom of every page), or go straight to the sign-up form.
  2. Enter your email and a password (at least 6 characters) and tap Create free account.
  3. Check your inbox and click the confirmation link, it signs you in and finishes setup.
  4. You’ll land on the welcome page, which asks What should we watch for you? — tap a few shops and categories (or a one-tap starter bundle) and your feed means something from day one.

Good to know

  • Sign-in is email and password, there are no social logins.
  • If you tap a member button while signed out (Follow, the ♥ heart, Watch this search), we remember what you wanted, send you to sign in, then finish the job automatically and put you back where you were.
  • One account also works on our sister site FindSales.

Follow shops & categories

Following is the heart of the member experience: pick the shops and categories you care about and we watch them for you. Your follows power two things at once, the My Feed page and the alerts bell 🔔.

  1. Open any shop page from Shops (or a category from Categories, or an eBay outlet) and tap the Follow button in the header of the page. It flips to Following.
  2. Once following, a min discount selector appears next to the button: choose any, 20%, 40% or 60% to only hear about deals at or above that discount. It filters both your feed and your alerts.
  3. To manage everything in one place, open My Feed and tap Customise your feed: toggle shop and category chips, or search for a shop by name. Every tap saves instantly.
  4. To unfollow, tap Following again anywhere you see it, or use Manage follows on the Alerts page.

Good to know

  • You can follow shops, whole categories and eBay outlet stores, they all work the same way.
  • Many deal pages carry a Follow button too, next to the shop’s name.
  • The min discount is per follow, so you can take everything from a favourite shop but only the big drops from a noisy one.

My Feed

My Feed is everything from your follows merged into one grid, newest first, so a quick scroll each day catches what’s landed since yesterday.

  1. Open the account menu (your avatar, top right) and choose My feed, it’s also in the footer under Your account.
  2. Use the My follows / Amazon only chips at the top to switch between your personal feed and a quick Amazon-Deals-plus-Resale view.
  3. Feed looking thin? Tap Customise your feed to follow a couple more shops, or lower a min discount on the Alerts page.

Good to know

  • The grid draws from your first 16 follows, the Alerts page still tracks every follow.
  • Deals respect each follow’s min discount, so if the feed seems quiet, check you haven’t set a floor too high.

Save deals with the heart

Spotted something you’re not ready to buy? Heart it and it waits for you on Saved deals, with prices kept fresh, and a flag if it expires so you never chase a dead link.

  1. Tap the ♥ in the top-right corner of any deal card (or on the deal page itself). It turns red and the deal is saved.
  2. Open Saved deals from the account menu or the footer to see everything in one place, prices are refreshed live.
  3. To remove a deal, tap its red heart again, anywhere on the site.
  4. If a saved deal expires, it moves to the Expired or gone section with the price you saved it at, tap Remove when you’re done with it.

Good to know

  • Saves live on your account, so they follow you across devices.
  • The Saved page shows your 100 most recent saves, newest first.

Alerts & the bell

The bell 🔔 in the header tallies what’s new across your follows, watched searches and forum replies since you last checked. No emails, no spam, it all lives on the Alerts page.

  1. Follow shops or categories (see above), that’s the main way to feed the bell.
  2. When the bell shows a number, tap it. Each follow with something new gets a row: N new, a View button and a Dismiss button.
  3. View opens exactly the deals that were counted, newest first, and clears the count. Dismiss clears it without looking. Mark all seen clears every follow at once.
  4. The Sales at your shops section lists sale events at shops you follow, new ones carry a New tag, and voucher codes are a tap to copy.
  5. To tune an alert, expand Manage follows: set each follow’s min discount or Unfollow what you no longer want.

Good to know

  • Alerts are on-site only, the bell and the Alerts page. The only email we send is the weekly digest, which is separate and opt-in.
  • “New” means since you last checked that follow, capped at the last 30 days.
  • The bell number can lag by a few minutes, opening the Alerts page always shows the freshest picture.

Watch a search

Hunting for something specific, “air fryer under £80”, trainers in your size, anything with a keyword or filter? Save the search and we’ll re-run it for you and count what’s new under the bell.

  1. Run a search, or apply filters on any deals feed (a keyword, price band, minimum discount, condition, size…).
  2. Tap the Watch this search chip next to the results count. It flips to Watching.
  3. New matches appear in the Watched searches section of the Alerts page, with View, Dismiss and Delete controls per search.

Good to know

  • You can watch up to 10 searches at a time.
  • The chip only appears when the page’s filters say something a plain Follow can’t, if you just want a whole shop, follow the shop instead.

The weekly digest

One email a week with the ten best live UK deals we found, ranked by how good they actually are, never sponsored. It’s the only email we send, and it doesn’t even need an account.

  1. Go to the Weekly digest page (it’s in the footer under Browse).
  2. Type your email and tap Sign up free.
  3. Click Confirm my weekly digest in the email we send you, nothing arrives until you do.

Good to know

  • Every issue has a one-click Unsubscribe link, no questions asked.
  • We do nothing else with your email, no sharing, no daily spam.

Size & fit

On the clothing feeds you can filter to deals actually in stock in your size, and save each person’s sizes so “what’s new in my size” is one tap.

  1. Open Amazon Clothing (the Clothing tab on any Amazon page) or eBay Outlets and tap Size & fit at the top of the feed.
  2. Pick who you’re shopping for under Who for (Women, Men, Girls, Boys, Kids, Unisex) and tap your sizes in each ladder, clothing, dress, waist, shoes, and ages for kids.
  3. The button shows a live count, tap Show N deals to apply.
  4. To reuse it later, save the selection under Save these sizes forMe, Partner, Kids or any name. Saved profiles become starred one-tap chips by the Size & fit button (the rest wait inside the picker), and tapping one shows that person’s sizes newest-first, so you see what just landed.

Good to know

  • You can save up to 6 profiles, and signed-in members get them synced across devices.
  • There’s also the separate Deals in your size tool, which builds a live Amazon results link for your size and discount floor.

Forum & community deals

The Forum is deal talk, questions and money-saving tips, from people, not bots. And if you spot a bargain in the wild, submit it — published finds go live with the 👥 Community badge and your name on them.

  1. Anyone can read, find both under More in the header. Posting needs a free account.
  2. Tap Start a discussion on the forum, or Reply in any thread. Formatting is light: **bold**, links, and an image URL on its own line embeds the picture.
  3. Tap Follow thread under a discussion’s title to get an alert when someone replies, posting in a thread follows it automatically.
  4. To send in a deal, fill in the link, title and shop on Submit a deal and tap Send it in. A human checks every submission before it goes live.
  5. Track your submissions under Your submissions on the account page — verdicts also light up the bell.

Good to know

  • Brand-new accounts can post about an hour after signing up.
  • Set a username first (see below), it’s the name shown on your posts and on published finds.
  • Someone spoiling it for you? Block on any of their posts hides them entirely, undo it any time under Forum → Ignored users.

Your account & settings

Everything about you lives on the account page, open it from the avatar menu, top right.

  1. Profile & settings: pick an emoji avatar and background colour, and set your username (3–30 characters, it’s shown on forum posts and community finds).
  2. Personalisation: an on/off switch for whether your deal clicks and searches rank deals higher for you. Turning it off also unlinks your past activity.
  3. Your data: clear your data while keeping the account, or delete the account entirely, both cover DealsFirst and our sister site FindSales.
