Friday 27 November 2026. When the season starts, every deal on this page will have been checked against the item’s own price history, not the retailer’s was-price. Until then, here is exactly how we’ll do it.
What DealsFirst does on Black Friday
We track prices year-round, so by the time November arrives we know what things actually cost. Every Black Friday price gets compared with the item’s own multi-year record, not with a was-price invented the week before.
The oldest trick in the season: raise the price in October, “slash” it in November. A discount only counts here when the price is genuinely below the item’s typical level over the last 90 days. RRP fictions don’t move our numbers.
The best of the day get named plainly: record drop, lowest ever, or the cheapest in a stated number of days. If an item’s history can’t support a claim, the claim doesn’t print.
How to read our ticks
The ✓ roundel is reserved for facts drawn from real price history. When a card says RECORD DROP, LOWEST EVER or 90-DAY LOW, that is the item’s own tracked record talking, and we can show you the history behind it.
The ✦ mark is our own editorial cut: picks, top-of-sale rankings and the site-wide bar that only the sharpest few percent of scanned prices clear. Useful, but opinion, and always labelled as ours.

Black Friday 2026 is Friday 27 November 2026, the day after the US Thanksgiving holiday, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. UK retailers rarely wait for the day itself: most big shops start their events days or even weeks early, which is exactly why year-round price tracking matters. We’ll be watching the whole stretch, and this page updates itself as it happens.
